Dr. John T. Kalange has provided orthodontic care to residents of the Boise Treasure Valley since 1988. He graduated with honors from Boise State University, Creighton University Dental School, and Marquette University’s Orthodontic Masters Program. Throughout his career, Dr. Kalange has been an active member in the Idaho State Orthodontic Society, the Southwest Idaho Dental Society, the Idaho State Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. He has served as Secretary/Treasurer for the Southwest Idaho Dental Society, and as President for the Idaho State Orthodontic Society.
Dr. Kalange is one of only a few orthodontists in Idaho to be certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and he is honored to participate in the continued study and advancement of orthodontics through the Northwest Component of the Edward H. Angle Society. He is an internationally recognized lecturer and teacher on the topic of “Indirect Bonding,” and has had the honor of publishing several articles. In 2007, Dr. Kalange served as Guest Editor for an article published in Seminars in Orthodontics; in 2004, he published an article in the World Journal of Orthodontics; and in 1999 he published an article in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics.
Dr. Kalange is also dedicated to serving the local community. He frequently speaks to various local organizations, teaches in-office continuing education courses, and, for many years, has offered an educational field trip program to area elementary schools. In addition, over the years, Dr. Kalange’s office has awarded numerous college scholarships to graduating patients.
